Molecule Role Annotation MUTATION: Cda1 is one of the four putative chitin/polysaccharide deacetylases in C. neoformans. The chitosan production was abolished only in the cda1ÃŽâ€cda2ÃŽâ€cda3Άtriple-deletion strain however CDA1 single deletion was not sufficient to affect the chiitosan levels (Baker et al., 2007).
