Molecule Role Annotation MUTATION: The NtrY protein is a sensor of an ntr-related regulon which may be part of the glnALG operon. This mutant has a weakly attenuated phenotype (reduction of 1.2 log units versus the wild type at 48 h postinfection) which could be explained by a pleiotropic effect on the ntr regulon, since the ntrC mutant did not show such a phenotype (Foulongne et al., 2000).
