Welcome to MacroPath

MacroPath is part of PHIDIAS devoted to study the intricate interaction between host macrophages and intracellular pathogens by collecting, storing, and analyzing data related to macrophage-pathogen interactions from public databases and literature publications. All the data in the database is available for public query and further data mining.

Uniformly Normalized Affymetrix Compendia of Mouse Macrophage Data:

To facilitate the exchange and analysis of high quality, curated gene expression microarray data of macrophage responses to external stimuli, especially infectious pathogenes, we have built a compendium of microarray data from different laboratories based on the Affymetrix Mouse Genome 430 2.0 microarray technology. This dataset contains 583 Affymetrix Mouse Genome 430 2.0 microarray chips and has been normalized using RMA.

Download: by clicking: macrophage_mouse_430_2.0_v1_b1.txt.gz (File size: 182 MB).

An online data analysis interface using this normalized dataset is being designed and will be available soon.

Example of One Microarray Gene Expression Data Analysis:

Currently, MacroPath stores microarray data published in paper: He et al. Brucella melitensis triggers time-dependent modulation of apoptosis and down-regulation of mitochondria-associated gene expression in mouse macrophages. Infection and Immunity. 2006 Sep;74(9):5035-46. PMID: 16926395.

The data stored in MacroPath can be searched by Affymetrix microarray gene ID (AffyID), fold change, P value, keywords, and pearson's correlation coefficient similar expression pattern.
